Tapis Férahan ancien, de la fin du XVIIIème siècle, début du XIXème, en bon état à restaurer ou pas, à décor du motif hérati et de quatre écoinçons.
## Véritable pièce de musée que ce tapis présentant un décor d'une rare finesse, d'un motif Mahi, dessin floral persan, utilisé avant tout à Ferahan, dessin signifiant poisson en persan et correspondant au motif hérati.
Il faut souligner que le motif hérati de notre modèle est si fin qu'il ne laisse aucune place à la couleur du champ.
Noeud persan
Chaîne en coton écru, trame double, velours en laine.
80 noeuds sur 10 cm de largeur
110 noeuds sur 10 cm de longueur
Soit une densité de 880 000 noeuds au m2
Les laines de qualité en font des tapis d'une extrême résistance.
#  A noter la présence du motif veramin dans les quatre écoinçons et la présence de petits boteh dans les galons.
# Il faut noter la présence d'un médaillon au centre de cette pièce, ce qui reste une rareté sur les Ferahan.
On retouve ce type de médaillons sur les Sarouk anciens présentant les mêmes caractéristique et la présence du motif hérati.
#  La bordure des véritables Férahan anciens présente un effet curieux dû à des manipulations d' un mélange d'une plante, une euphorbe persane et de sulfate de cuivre qui produit le "lait de louve" comme l'appelle les autochtones.
Cette composition produit un effet corrosif sur le velours du tapis et du coup une couleur vert tilleul, typique de ces tapis très anciens.
Cette réaction chimique permet de faire ressortir en relief la décoration de la bordure sur notre modèle.
Les Férahan ont été longtemps les tapis préférés des Anglais, aux couleurs douces et attrayantes.
Cette pièce d'une grande beauté à conservé ses couleurs, des bleus de qualité, orange, vert .....
La décoration caractéristique était le motif hérati avec sa rosette, son losange et ses feuilles bouclées (palmes).
Ces tapis sont originaires du district de Féraghan, à l'est d'Arak, région d'une plaine fertile en Iran.
Notre modèle est en très bel état pour son âge, présente les caractéristiques décrites ci-avant et est un très beau tapis de collection.

Ce tapis a été nettoyé professionnellement et de façon écologique.

Old Férahan carpet, from the end of the 18th century, beginning of the 19th century, in good condition, to be restored or not, decorated with the herati motif and four spandrels.
## A real museum piece, this rug with a decor of rare finesse, a Mahi motif, a Persian floral design, used above all in Ferahan, a design meaning fish in Persian and corresponding to the Herati motif.
Persian knot Ecru cotton warp, double weft, wool velvet.
80 knots over 10 cm in width 110 knots over 10 cm in length Giving a density of 880,000 knots per m2
# Note the presence of veramin patterns in the four spandrels and the presence of small boteh in the stripes.
# Note the presence of a medallion in the center of this piece, which remains a rarity on the Ferahan.
We find this type of medallions on the old Sarouks with the same characteristics of the Herati motif.
# The border of the real ancient Férahan presents a curious effect due to manipulations of a mixture of a plant, a Persian euphorbia and copper sulphate which produces "wolf's milk" as the natives call it.
This composition produces a corrosive effect on the pile of the rug and therefore the lime green color typical of these very old rugs.
This chemical reaction makes it possible to bring out in relief the decoration of the border on our model.
The Férahan have long been the favorite carpets of the English, with soft and attractive colors.
The characteristic decoration was the herati motif with its rosette, diamond and curly leaves.
These rugs originate from the district of Feraghan, east of Arak, a region of a fertile plain in Iran.
Our model is in very good condition for its age, has the characteristics described above and is a very beautiful collector's rug.
## The Golestan Palace in Tehran has a model similar to ours.
This rug has been professionally and environmentally cleaned.
