Rare de par son importante décoration de fleurs, branchâges et feuilles, lourd de par l'utilisation du cuivre étamé et du bronze.
Ce très beau Kindi originaire d'Inde du nord, est un pot à eau bénite, toujours sans poignée, à panse globulaire sur piedouche, et bec en esse pointant vers le haut.
Cet objet, récipient à eau bénite, servait et sert toujours au lavement des mains et des pieds en entrant dans la maison, à l'entrée du repas ou à la fin.
Les confusions avec les Lotta sont monnaies courantes, la Lotta ne possédant pas de bec verseur.

Rare due to its important decoration of flowers, branches and leaves, heavy due to the use of tinned copper and bronze.
This very beautiful Kindi from North India, is a holy water pot, still without a handle, with a globular body on a piedouche, and an esse spout pointing upwards.
This object, a holy water container, was used and still serves for washing hands and feet when entering the house, at the entrance to the meal or at the end.
