"Sernij, pot à lait ou crème, cuivre rouge et jaune, Azerbaïdjan, XIXème siècle"
Appelé "Sernig", ces pots fermés, étaient déstinés lors de la traite des vaches ou des chèvres,
et pour la préparation du "gatig, un produit proche de la crème.
On les trouve de différentes tailles, avec un couvercle posé sur le dessus.
Cuivre rouge et jaune largement ciselé de grecques et d'entrelacs, cet objet usuel se trouve toujours abondament gravé.
Un modèle presque similaire est présent à la fondation Heydar Aliyev en Azerbaïdjan.
L'artisanat du métal dans ces contrées est présent depuis 5000 ans avant notre ére.
On retrouve ce type de forme de pot aussi au Maghreb et dans toute l'Asie centrale.

Called Sernig, these closed jars, were intended during the milking of cows or goats, and for the preparation of "gatig, close to cream.
They are found in different sizes, with a fitted lid. Red and yellow copper widely chiseled of Greek and interlacing.
An almost similar model is present at the Heydar Aliyev foundation in Azerbaijan.
Metal craftsmanship in these regions is present 5000 years before our era.
This type of pot shape is also found in the Maghreb.
