Magnifique Afghan à décor Turkmène en laine, mesurant 250 cm de large par 345 cm de long.
En bon état des années 1980.
Laine rouge et noire, pour l'ensemble, ce tapis est décoré de 40 grands  guls.
Ces médaillons se trouvent sur les tapis d'Asie centrale, ici en alternance avec de petites croix.
# Belle laine profonde de grande qualité classique sur ces tapis.
# Anoter la qualité du dessin complexe des bordures.
Les produits artisanaux afghans sont toujours de très bonnes factures.
Dans d’autres régions, les tapis nomades sont souvent noués de manière lâche et ont de longs poils, contrairement aux tapis afghans ou turkmènes qui présentent des nœuds denses et serrés dus au nœud persan, des traits de velours et des poils de chèvre ou de laine de mouton, souple et brillant.
Mais l'utilisation de poils de chèvre est plus courante pour la chaîne et la trame.
Ces tapis ont une aura masculine et ont toujours été appréciés depuis le XIXème siècle pour la décoration des bureaux des hommes d’affaires.
Ces tapis majestueux sont certainement les meilleurs en Asie centrale et sont l'œuvre des tribus afghanes.
Le même esprit de nouage et de motif se retrouve dans les tapis voisins du Turkménistan appartenant à la tribu Tekke, généralement appelé Boukhara-Tekke, mais l'ancienne production consiste en de plus petits tapis, en raison de la distance qui les sépare de l'Asie centrale et des marchés étrangers.
Ce tapis est en bon état. velours, franges et lisières.
Finition en noué façon kilim suivi de franges.

Magnificent Afghan with Turkmen decoration in wool, measuring 250 cm wide by 345 cm long.
In good condition from the 1980s. Red and black wool, overall, this rug is decorated with 40 large guls.
These medallions are found on Central Asian rugs, here alternating with small crosses.
# Beautiful deep wool of classic high quality on these rugs.
# Note the quality of the intricate border design.
Afghan handicrafts are always very well made.
In other regions, nomadic rugs are often loosely knotted and have long pile, unlike Afghan or Turkmen rugs which have dense and tight knots due to the Persian knot, velvet features and goat or sheep hair, supple and shiny.
But the use of goat hair is more common for both warp and weft.
These rugs have a masculine aura and have always been appreciated since the 19th century for the decoration of businessmen's offices.
These majestic rugs are certainly the best in Central Asia and are the work of the tribes Afghan.
The same spirit of knotting and patterning is found in neighboring carpets from Turkmenistan belonging to the Tekke tribe, generally called Bukhara-Tekke, but the old production consists of smaller carpets, due to the distance separating them from Central Asia and foreign markets.
This carpet is in good condition. velvet, fringes and selvedges.
Finished in kilim-style knot followed by fringes.
