Tapis Chirvan ancien de la fin du XIXème en état de découverte, en laine nouée main.
Un grand médaillon bleu nuit crénelé reçoit trois médaillons justaposés.
Une profusion, d'animaux stylisés, dragons, chiens, poules sont posés sur le champ bleu nuit.
L'ensemble posé sur un fond vieux rose rectangulaire, cerné d'une très large bordure et de deux contre-bordures à décor d'oeillets stylisés.
Les tapis antérieurs à 1925 se définissent en cinq groupes : les kazakhs, karabakh ou sjirvan ( chirvan ), kuba ( kouba )et daghestani.
Les tapis de la région du Karabakh ont souvent des motifs doux et rappellent les tapis persans.
En dehors de cette classification, on trouve aussi des tapis Gandja, Silé et Verni.
Ces tapis se distinguent par leurs motifs géométriques très variés et imaginatifs.
On trouve parfois, sous forme stylisée, des figures d'animaux ou des motifs géométriques et architecturaux.

Old Chirvan carpet from the end of the 19th century in a state of discovery, in hand-knotted wool.
A large crenellated midnight blue medallion receives three justaposed medallions.
A profusion of stylized animals, dragons, dogs, chickens are posed on the midnight blue field.
The whole set on a rectangular old pink background, surrounded by a very wide border and two counter-borders decorated with stylized eyelets. Carpets prior to 1925 are defined in five groups: Kazakhs, Karabakh or Sjirvan (Shirvan), Kuba (Kouba) and Dagestani.
Carpets from the Karabakh region often have soft patterns and are reminiscent of Persian rugs.
Apart from this classification, there are also Gandja, Silé and Verni rugs.
These rugs are distinguished by their very varied and imaginative geometric patterns.
We sometimes find, in stylized form, animal figures or geometric and architectural patterns.
