Tapis Sivas, originaire du fin fond de l'Anatolie, si proche de l'Arménie et du Caucase en très bel état.
Ce magnifique tapis coloré, vivant en laine sur laine est de la première partie du XXème siècle, il mesure 136 cm de large par 174 cm de long.
De prime abord, nous pourrions penser à un tapis du Caucase avec ses deux grosses étoiles et ses couleurs éclatantes, mais non ce tapis est bien un anatolien de superbe qualité, possédant un graphisme rare pour le type Sivas.
Les changements de laine, les couleurs nous montrent le bon côté villageois de ce tapis noué par des femmes pour le commerce ou leur utilisation personnelle.
Ces tapis ruraux, noués par les femmes des villages sont toujours plein de fantaisie et de vivacité, la laine soigneusement filée est de très belle qualité, douce et fine, les motifs sont là, depuis la nuit des temps. Pour ce modèle on sent nettement l'influence caucasienne, médaillons en étoiles, champ, et bordures, mais transmise avec une certaine naïveté.
Ce tapis a été nettoyé professionnellement et de façon écologique.
Etat de découverte, n'étant pas un acharné des restaurations.
J'ai une grande passion pour ces tapis sans prétention mais qui possède un éclat, une vivacité que l'on ne trouve qu'en Anatolie.

Sivas carpet, originally from the depths of Anatolia, so close to Armenia and the Caucasus in very good condition.
This magnificent colorful rug, living in wool on wool, is from the first part of the 20th century, it measures 136 cm wide by 174 cm long. At first glance, we might think of a Caucasian rug with its two big stars and its vibrant colors, but no this rug is indeed an Anatolian of superb quality, possessing a rare graphic for the Sivas type. The changes of wool, the colors show us the good village side of this carpet knotted by women for the trade or their personal use. These rural carpets, knotted by the women of the villages, are always full of fantasy and liveliness, the carefully spun wool is of very fine quality, soft and fine, the patterns have been there since the dawn of time. For this model we clearly feel the Caucasian influence, medallions in stars, field, and borders, but transmitted with a certain naivety.
